Why visit Lanark Highlands Basketry Museum, the only basketry museum in Canada?

Discover how local materials are used to make practical necessities and how many different types of basketry there are. You’ll surprise yourself with our collection of 200 plus handmade baskets made with over 15 local materials. Visit the Museum in McDonalds Corners or find them online.

You to can make a basket with the materials and tools found on-site in The Basketry Experience complex or order a kit to start making them at home.

We’ll keep you informed when workshops are up and running again, in the meantime subscribe to our bi-weekly blog, Threads to stay in touch.
