In this one day workshop for beginners and intermediate weavers, you will learn how to weave and create a round stake and strand basket with bark detailing. We will be covering a lot of ground, and if you have problems with your hands or wrists, this workshop might not be for you (feel free to reach out to discuss). If you have taken this class before and want to take part/ add variations feel free to reach out so we can make this class feel more suitable for you.

Beginners can expect to learn the basic techniques to make a traditional round stake and strand basket: the 3x3 base slath, twining, bi-staking, 3 rod waling, bark weaving, and trac border.

Intermediate to advanced weavers can expect some modifications and additions to the regular programming: 3x3 base slath, twining with some nuanced technique, bi-staking, 3 rod waling, bark preparation and weaving, 4 rod waling, trac border with follow (or rod border), and foot border (time permitting)

The finished basket will be approximately 8" in diameter and 5"  in height.

All tools needed are provided by the instructor.
